"The prices at airports are too high!"

Many travelers tend to think that airport prices are higher at airports and, in many cases, they are! Luckily, this is NOT the case at the Food & Shop marketplace at LaGuardia's Central Terminal Building, where a "Street Pricing" policy ensures that passengers won't pay more at the airport than they do on the "street".

How "Street Pricing" works:

If a store has an identical store off-airport in the NY Metro area, the prices at their airport location will be the same as their non-airport NY Metro area location (for example, prices at The Body Shop at LaGuardia will be the same as The Body Shop at Queens Center Mall).

If a store is unique to the airport, and does not have a "street" location, then the store's prices will be the same as a store with a similar concept in the NY Metro area.

Every store is required to submit pricing information to MARKETPLACE DEVELOPMENT, the management company for the Food & Shops, on a quarterly basis to ensure that they are in compliance with this requirement.

Exclusions: Stores are not required to match specials or discounts and participation may vary for nationally advertised franchised chain stores (like Wendy's or Dunkin Donuts).

What to do if you think you were overcharged:

Your complete satisfaction is very important to us! If you feel you were overcharged at a food or retail store in the Central Terminal Building, please contact the store manager at the number provided in our store directory or contact MARKETPLACE DEVELOPMENT via telephone at 888-FAIRBUY or via e-mail.

If you were overcharged or have a question about a store in the other terminals or at JFK or Newark airports, please contact The Port Authority of NY & NJ.
