THE FOOD & SHOPS AT LAGUARDIA AIRPORT UNVEILS NEW WEBSITE


Queens, NY — The Food & Shops at LaGuardia Airport’s Central Terminal Building announced today the launch of their new consumer website www.ShopLaGuardia.com. To help celebrate the launch of this new site, the Food & Shops will be holding a special holiday shopping promotion, where one lucky winner will receive a $3,000 shopping spree. “Our goal in developing ShopLaGuardia.com is to create a valuable travel planning resource, by offering an easy-to-navigate website wherein travelers will be able to find important travel news and tips to plan their visit to LaGuardia.” says Lillian Tan, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace Development, the retail development company that develops and manages the food and shops program in the terminal. “To commemorate the launch of this new site we are offering the holiday shopping spree as our way of saying ‘Thank You’ to the 25 million travelers that choose LaGuardia Airport. By logging onto www.ShopLaGuardia.com, travelers can enter for a chance to win a $3,000 shopping spree. On December 18, the winner will have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to do all of their holiday shopping in a two-hour long shopping marathon that will take place at the Food & Shops located at LaGuardia’s Central Terminal Building, and be able to hand pick their favorite items from 60 select retailers and restaurants. ShopLaGuardia.com will provide travelers with airport travel news, employment information, maps and general information on the terminal’s eateries and retail shops. The goal of the website is to help travelers better plan their visit at LaGuardia Airport. The website will also highlight special promotions and offerings, including coupons and special sales sponsored by the Food & Shops. MarketPlace Development is the private partner with The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in the $18 million, 50,000-square-foot redevelopment of the food and retail program at the Central Terminal Building, the largest of LaGuardia’s four terminals.
