LAGUARDIA'S CENTRAL TERMINAL BUILDING WELCOMES NEW RETAILERS
Queens, NY (July 5, 2007) —
LaGuardia Airport's Central Terminal Building recently welcomed Airport Wireless, Bijoux Terner, Borders and The Body Shop to its award-winning retail program.
"The addition of these popular retail stores to the Central Terminal Building is another step in MarketPlace Development's
continued commitment in offering travelers an exemplary dining and retail experience when they visit LaGuardia Airport,"
says Lillian Tan, vice president and general manager of MarketPlace Development, the retail development company that manages the retail and food program in the terminal.
Palm Airport Wireless, a specialty retail store offering travelers the latest in cellular and wireless products and accessories
opened a 1200 sq. foot store in the Departures Level of the Central Terminal. Travelers can easily pick up a Palm TREO, an
extra power cord for their laptop, or new headphones for their MP3 Player.
Bijoux Terner opened a 700 sq. foot location in the Departures Level of the Central Terminal. This new location offers travelers
a varied array of "luxury" products for men, women and children all priced at $10.00. Offerings include watches, silk scarves,
handbags, sunglasses and a large jewelry selection.
Borders, a global retailer of books, music and movies, opened its newest location in the Arrivals Level food court of the
Central Terminal Building. Travelers can peruse Borders' vast selection of music, movies, books and magazines at this 2800
sq. foot store.
The Body Shop, a global manufacturer and retailer of naturally inspired, ethically produced beauty and cosmetics products
opened a 1200 sq. foot store in the Departures Level of the Central Terminal. In addition to its tremendous line of beauty
and cosmetic products, The Body Shop provides customers with a large selection of travel size items and offers a free Ziploc
bag with purchase (a mandatory requirement for all carry on luggage and bags.)
