THE FOOD & SHOPS CELEBRATES VALENTINE'S DAY Sweet Travel Weekend at LaGuardia Airport’s Central Terminal

Queens, NY (February 10, 2010) – Air travel just got a little sweeter. The Food & Shops at LaGuardia Airport’s Central Terminal will celebrate Valentine’s Day by treating passengers to free chocolate Hershey’s ®) kisses on February 12th, from 11:00am - 4:00pm.
Passengers traveling through the Central Terminal Building from February 10th to February 15th can also take advantage of the Valentine’s Day ‘Gifts for Your Sweetie’ shopping program, designed to help busy travelers shop for their special someone.
Retailers such as The Body Shop, The Metropolitan Museum of Art Store and Borders, among others, will offer special ‘Gifts for Your Sweetie’ tables in front of their stores that will showcase a variety of Valentine’s Day gifts.
“The Valentine’s Day ‘Gifts for Your Sweetie ’ program is a convenient and unique way to help busy travelers pick up that last minute gift for their special someone,” says Lillian Tan, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace Development, the retail development company that manages the food and shops program in the terminal. “The chocolate kisses are a way for all of us at the Food & Shops to thank our customers and wish them a Happy Valentine’s Day.”
MarketPlace Development is the private partner with The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in the $18 million, 50,000-square-foot redevelopment of the food and retail program at the Central Terminal Building, the largest of LaGuardia’s four terminals.
